Here you can find the different approaches with which we study fisheries, marine resources, and local and global interactions with natural aquatic systems. Our research group is led by Prof. Mary Gasalla, whose scientific journey originates from the attempt to understand marine and coastal socio-ecological processes through the complexity of interactions, fluxes, and inherent properties. Our impulse is the promotion of knowledge that responds critical issues for the sustainability of fisheries ecosystems in several dimensions (ecological, social, economic, ethical), including a series of different scientific schools. We invite you all to join us in this path.
